Coreless Flymo Mower ?

Why is there not one of these yet ? Surely with battery technology so advanced now it's possible....

Re: Coreless Flymo Mower ?

You can get petrol ones. They don't have a cord.

Re: Coreless Flymo Mower ?

I know but I would really like a 'cordless' flymo, very good design IMO

Have a look at the Bosch Rotak. It doesn't float but is a cordless rotary mower.

Don't forget they 'fly' - so the battery would need to pretty light - which at the moment means a lithium based battery - and that is going to cost a fortune (for the power output) - blow up occasionally and generally be a complete was of time.

Try strapping a house brick to a normal flymo - I bet it wouldn't work.
