as above very confused. i have paypal but when people say payment by bt what does that mean. and it also seems to be a quid cheaper when paying by bt are there no charges like paypal
is it worth setting up and how can i do it

Bank Transfer

If you have online banking it's easy to set up. You just need their bank a/c number and sort code I believe.

BT is Bank Transfer, usually using their online banking.

BT = Bank Transfer. Very easy to do. I do mine via internet banking - all I need to do is enter the persons name, sort code and account number and it will transfer from my account into theirs. If I transfer Lloyds - Lloyds it usually takes a day or so, to other banks it is around 3 - 5 days to clear.

If you're not registered for internet banking, you can also do this in your branch or their branch over the counter.

No worries. And as you previously said, there are no charges for using BT, so for larger transactions most people prefer to use this method ti save on Paypals fees, which can be quite high! (if you want to work out Paypal fees, use this site: www.ppcalc.com )
