Angry Motivation Posters in the Office!

I'm sure you have all had the odd 'motivational poster' put up on the walls at work - well, they have taken the biscuit at our place!

On every free space on every wall they have stuck a blooming A1 size poster It's like walking into an American election rally!

They are going to 'rotate' the posters around every 6 months so we don't get board with them But seeing as most of them are almost identical with the same "Think Customer" phrase on them I can't see the point

I'm sure they are having the opposite effect on folks - annoying them rather then motivating them!

Apart from that, they are all in very nice alluminium frames - we are talking over a hundred posters so they must have cost a fortune!

Re: Motivation Posters in the Office!

Here's a better poster for last night's call centre program... or any office for that matter! link.

Or this.

Edit: Oops didnt meant to rant about callcentres! In the case of foreign call centres, the problem is that unless British people complain enough to these companies, they will not bring the call centres, and jobs, back to Britain.

W Edwards Deming, credited with helping Japan build quality stuff cheaply, said motivational posters were rubbish. Information TV on SKY (might be called something like Red now) carries programs of his lectures. A bit dry, but make very good sense.

See point 10 of 14:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Edwards_Deming

Better with a bit of explanation.
