Home insurance

I have been looking around for home insurance over the last few weeks and found that my existing home insurer gave me a renew price of £570 (£45 more) then what I’m paying for now...

As a result I am keen to leave them and have been looking around, I found 3 insurers ranging from £410-430 which I was thinking of renewing with, then I happen to just get a quote from AA who shocking gave me a quote for £323.

Question is does that seem too good to be true? I have checked its covering everything the others were and for the similar amount too, its AA a good motoring insurer but for home?

Anything I need to look out for in this case?

Thank in advance
$$

Re: Home insurance

I have been with Legal & General for a few yrs and kept renewing.

This year the quote came in for £499. I went onto the Legal & General website direct and got a quote for £254. Went through Quidco and took the insurance out in my wife's name to get an extra £60 off.

(I currently have an enquiry with Quidco for the £60, even if unsucessful I've saved enough for a HD DVD player by going direct )

(PS....make sure there is "track and trace" cover in your policy. Can cost a lot of money if not included).

I normally have that problem getting insurance quotes online, but L&G accepted my N. Ireland postcode fine.

Re: Home insurance

Cheapest I found for Home and Car Insurance, was Liverpool Victoria (www.lv.com). Significantly cheaper.
