I'm a two-finger typist (I lost the others in an accident*) and I do about 40-45 wpm.

We need fewer letters in the alphabet, I think.

I was up around 340WPM as I can touch type but kept getting thrown at the end of sentences as I always do a double space after a full stop to improve legibility.

Me too with the double space. Kept doing corrections which slowed me down no end!
