Exactly what it say's all those presents under the tree, most of which you probably know what's inside, but what about the presents from your uncle, auntie, friend, neighbour, cousin, nephew or if they're a bit stingy or skint this year even the ones from your brother, sister etc. What do you expect to find inside the wrapper?

You can only handle a certain number of naff pairs of socks and other tat.

hardly any two or three maybe non-immediate family normally just give presents for the sake of giving its the ones from parents etc that you really want.

Due to my job I'll be getting quite a few bottles of wine and whiskey. Most will be kept, but I may pass a couple on as last minute prezzies..


Edit: I wish people would buy me socks!!!!!!....

Think it'll be a load of aftershave sets and other useless rubbish that i would never use due to personal brand preference, on the plus side though i can save them, switch them around and give them back in return next year

My wife was given a desk diary in her works Secret Santa in which the donor had already filled in some of the addresses section, she was not impressed, I suppose she should be grateful it wasn't a 2007 one

I make it clear to everyone, including family, that I don't expect, nor want, any Christmas presents thank you.

It invariably just ends up on the car boot sale next year.

And no. I am not a miserable, scrooge like character.
I just don't want to see people wasting their money on things I probably don't want.

But if they are going to insist on buying me something, then they all know a nice bottle of single malt will do. That won't end up on the car boot.
