Hi, everyone.

I would just like to say thank you for your support over the past year or so, which I really do appreciate.

I know I have been pretty quiet this year, but I have tried to follow proceedings on here at times.

Thanks especially to my friends on here, including those from companies that have provided invaluable support in helping me get running with equipment that allows me to really enjoy music and movies without impacting on my condition too much. Unfortunately, with some equipment, for various technical reasons, I experience severe hearing problems – usually relating to high-frequency noise – but the equipment I have presents no problems. Thank you for that.

What I like most is that I get to hear what you all get up to on a whole range of subjects. In many ways, because I cannot socialise normally due to my health, when I do get on here to see the wide range of subjects – including the hilarious banter on any number of subjects at times! - I don’t feel so isolated. All of these things really do help and really make a difference to my life.

I have recently found a neighbour with the same condition, and that helps a great deal, and he is the first local person I know with ME. In all honesty, what I pick up on AVForums really does help – I find that I actually do have things to talk about, even if it’s not much or for very long. He likes AV and computers, too, so there’s a shared interest there. I do have other friends, but I do not get to see them very often, but they are great, too.

I’ll end in saying that I hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year. Thanks to the moderators, too, and Stuart of course. Here’s to even better times – and even more fantastic stuff!

I enjoy my visit's to this site largely because of how it's moderated. I know those guys take a bit of stick but without them this place would just degenerate into chaos (like most other forums I've looked in on).
