Re: Dervla Kerwin

Well, I hate their smug ads, but I do like Dervla Kirwan. Nice to see a fellow countrywoman doing well for herself. Can't understand why she spells Dervla that way, though, everyone knows you are supposed to spell it Dearbhla.

Re: Dervla Kerwin

1) Didn't know that was her voice, but doesn't make me hate it any more or any less cos it's her... I do hate it incredibly much tho!!!!

2) Probably spelt it like that so the rest of the properly-speaking-world can understand it LOL

Re: Dervla Kerwin

I don't know why everyone's saying that's not the way you spell Dervla.
I know rightly there are at least 3 different ways to spell that name - Dearbhla, Dearbhail and Dervla.
I spell my name the exact same way as Dervla Kirwan, apart from the second name (which has an A) and I think the people on these forums should expand their minds a bit and accept that there are different ways of spelling names.
And besides, annathedub, not everyone knows that's the way to spell Dearbhla/Dervla/Dearbhail - I think it's unfair that you're generalising.
Rant over. =D

Re: Dervla Kerwin

Wow, this thread is 3rd hit on google when you search for her name!

EDIT: Probably because of the misspelling of her surname. Thought something didn't seem quite right there.
