Should i go and see someone about this?

I fell up the stairs at London bridge today and now my wrist (the one I broke when i was 16) is really sore, ive got pins and needles in it an although I can move my hand fully it still hurts….. also when I press on the ball of my hand it really hurts for a while after, do you think I should get it looked at after work?

i can only type with one hand, it hurts if i use both.

I would certainly get it looked at if it still hurts at the end of your work day. Or pop out on your lunch break.

leave it a couple of weeks, if it still hurts and the smell becomes off putting pop and see a doctor.

seriously though this really isn't the place for medical advice.

If it hurts and your concerned go see your GP/ NHS Walk-in centre or call 0845 4647 http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/

Re: Should i go and see someone about this?

yeah at worst its a fracture but more likely you have busted a ligament or tendon seeing as there are plenty in that area. But you know as well as we do that nobody here can tell you whats up, only that you should get a doc to take a look

Re: Should i go and see someone about this?

tried the nhs website but it was about as useful as a gone of fish!!

I just wanted someone elses view on it as Im one of those people who will only go to the doctors if i think im bleeding to death (well not quite but you know what i mean), and dont have a particularly realistic view of what to go the doctor about.

I loved the way no-one asked me if i was ok as i came grinding to a halt face down on the concrete stairs

So if it goes green and smelly ill go to the doctors

Re: Should i go and see someone about this?

this is not a medical forum and I am not a doctor but speaking from experience..
pins and needles could be nerve damage related. Go see the Doc.

Re: Should i go and see someone about this?

go to an NHS walk in centre, if they think it needs more attention they will write you a note so that you do not have to queue for hours in A&E.
A&E always know who is the drunk by the number of fractures in their wrists

Re: Should i go and see someone about this?

i've closed this thread as the only advice that can be given is to seek medical advice from a qualified doctor. we don't want people hurting themselves or getting sicker by following incorrect advice on the internet
