Doggie "doins"

Don't ask me why - well only if you really need to ...but - In Canada when a dog does its biz on your lawn this little forum exchange can result.
http://scripts.cgispy.com/forums/for...al_Discussions

Whats your view on dogs and their Biz. Is it you biz, does it, should it matter?

I seem to have dogs crap on my drive most weeks
Its very annoying specially as i have a toddler. Also when i put my wheely bin out i have to check where i tread.
The only downside is that im at work when it seems to do its mess.
If i wasnt it would get a pellet from my air rifle straight up its but !

Re: Doggie "doins"

We have a dog. We "scoop" wherever we take the dog out on the lead. Even if the dog is off the lead in open spaces and does its "business", we will pick it up. It is irresponsible of any dog owner not to pick up thier dog's doin's.

Hi Mr Incredible
Well, you seem to be a very responsible owner and it's just a shame that quite a few others are not!
I go up the Great park quite often and it amazes me how many dog owners, clear up the dog splat, chuck it in a bag (all good) and then leave it hanging on a tree or just on the ground.

Re: Doggie "doins"

I wouldn't let my dog poo on someones garden, ever! When I take him out I've got a bag full of nappy bags and a bottle of water that I take with me for him and his business (or bizness or even bidnes!). I even pick it up when we are out over the fields because its a nice place people go to walk their dogs and go rambling and kids play etc.

Re: Doggie "doins"

I'd love to get the dog owner and rub his dogs mess in his face and make him eat it for leaving the mess outside the school gates. It can be a clear walk to school and the only mess that is around is right outside the gates. It happens too often to not be intensional.

Re: Doggie "doins"

Judging by the state of most of the kids today, what was left outside the gate was better than whats in the school...

Re: Doggie "doins"

When i had two dogs i allways cleaned it up.

Maybe you should adopt the 'follow the dog home' approach if you ever see it and dump the crap outside the owners door. I have known quite a few people who have done so.

Yes, but a dog owner lets their dog roam free without supervision is unlikely to give two hoots about what their dogs get up to.

Re: Doggie "doins"

i prefer this apporach.

put it in a paper bag and place on doggie owners door step.

Light the bag and retire.

Enjoy the moment, as the owner stamps the fire out

Re: Doggie "doins"

Many years ago my wife once asked me to run her dog home, but neglected to give me either a lead or a plastic bag before driving off. He comes to heel fast enough with a stern word, but I was worried that he might not remain continent until he got home.
We'd almost made it back when I noticed that he was squatting and that the horse was already head and shoulders out of the starting gate. Maybe my outburst was harsher than I had intended, but damn didn't he manage to back it all up inside. I was most impressed; I didn't even know that was possible. His gait on the homestretch was a bit trembly, but whether that was due to fear or discomfort, I can't know. Anyway, like others have pointed out, there are no excuses.

Just what he said and I have 3. Yep thats a lot of the brown stuff that I lift every day.

Back home in Belfast they have so called dog toilets, arranged green areas in parks that are set a side for dogs to dump. They also have a dog license scheme.

Re: Doggie "doins"

My boys are enjoying walks in the park this time of year. Kicking bundles of leaves up in the air. Imagine our disgust if in one of these 'bundles' is a whole pile of sloppy doggy doins. I also remember helping an old lady years ago who slipped on a rather steamy one and landed in it. It is one of my pet hates to see inconsiderate owners let their dogs defecate on the street without clearing it up. What film was it where the man goes into his neighbour's garden, squats, and lays something fowl and smelly on his lawn? That's what I'd like to do to some folk. Best I can muster is a loud statement in disgust in the hope to embarrass them into doing something about it.

Re: Doggie "doins"

I'm glad to hear/see people doing the right thing regarding their doggy mishaps. But I always think to myself, I wouldn't do that even if it was my own poop, let alone a dog's. Which is the main reason I will never, ever, get a dog.

Re: Doggie "doins"

This is a tricky debate - yes dogs are great, but just like Humans, certain "outputs" are not really welcome. However there is an answer to everyones pooping needs. Check this - its a Japanese design and I note the clever dog is wagging his tail. It's in fairly good taste - might get one myself for those days when you just gotta go!
