3 Dream cities ?

We were talking about this yesterday in the office so I thought I would ask you peeps. If money was no object and you had to choose any 3 cities in the world to travel to, where would they be and why.
Mine are
  1. New York, Ive allways wanted to go especially around Christmas time
  2. Toyko, Nice to see what the future is like, plus Tokyo National Museum etc.
  3. Las Vegas, cheesy and tacky I know but I assume since money was no object i would have plenty to gamble with, Vegas baby!

Re: 3 Dream cities ?

1. New York - same reason as daveaka

2. Kuala Lumpur (SP?) - heard it's the place to buy toys!!

3. Aukland - one day I'll visit new Zealand!!

I'm sure I could come up with others if I gave it some thought.

Vinyl Toys?

Anyway, (no order)

1. Tokyo (for trainers, cityscape, clothing, toys, and lifestyle)

2. Amsterdam (because I havn't been, I want to go for obvious reasons)

3. Rio de Janerio (because I went to Brazil once (Natal) and it was awesome, so I want to visit the capital)

Re: 3 Dream cities ?

Las Vegas - For the all out bonkers parties, and fantastic weather...and experiences of a lifetime, hire a Ferrari 360 and drive out to the Hoover Dam.

New York - For the food.

Shanghai - China is awesome and this is the most awesome place in China. (Hong Kong came very close to being the 3rd, just for the view over Kowloon bay at night)..

I think the european union intervened and said they had to ban it completely or not all..... contravenes human rights or something?

Id like to go to Tokyo, Reykjavik and Shanghai (am going there next easter )

The best cities ive been to so far are Barcelona, Bruges, and Krakow

Re: 3 Dream cities ?

Was thinking 'bout taking Mrs CFC (and CFC2 & CFC3) to N.Y. for a few days next May for her "milestone" birthday! I will most probably book flights seperately, but considering there are so many hotels seemingly battling for my dough, I can't believe the prices! ... I've been having a look around tonight, and am staring at a £grand for anything half decent for 5 nights!
Am I now such a seasoned Ebeneezer, that I've lost track of proper hotel prices, or is this really the going rate?

Oh yeah... Sydney and Tokyo also!

You business class and the rest of the family economy??

For me it would be NYC at the top all the time, not matter how many times I go, nightlife, cheap stuff and of course Giants and Yankees .

Sydney, no matter how much I take the mick I cant help but like Aussies, and Machu Picchu, just looks amazing!, would be the others.

Re: 3 Dream cities ?

Well the one that I haven't been to, and still really want to see, is New York.

But I think that I have probably seen the other 2 main cities that I wanted to see: Rome and Havana. And neither disappointed - both fantastic.

To be honest I have never really had any great inkling to see the likes of Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland, Vegas, San Fran.

Re: 3 Dream cities ?

San Francisco - because I have been there before and am planning on going again next year.

Tokyo - I find the Japanese an interesting people. The dichotomy of their culture is fascinating, on the one hand they are steeped in culture and tradition, with politeness, manners and humility respected by all, on the other they have a history of violent upheaval and casual brutality (the recent horrifying and sickening 'cull' of dolphins being a good example). Would love to visit there.

New York - one of the places to visit.

1. New York........for everything

2. Quebec...........the smartest cleanest most stylish place I have ever seen. If you try to speak a little French the locals are quite friendly.

3. Niagra On the Lake not to be mistaken with the Falls I could retire here for life.
