What was the first gig you ever went to?
Mine was "The Farm" @ Manchester Academy in 1990, closely followed by "James" at the GMex in 1991.
Happy Madchester days

Re: What was the first gig you ever went to?
Saw "The Prodigy" when they supported "Oasis" at Knebworth in 96, I agree they are absolutely tremendous live.

It was a brilliant brilliant gig (well, apart from "The Manics", who were toilet), you really felt like you were part of something special. The weather was glorious, 250000 people were there which just blew your mind, and when "Oasis" took to the stage the place was absolutely rockin. Yeah, Liam was off his head (a lot) - as were most of us in the crowd - and kept babbling drivel inbetween songs, but for pure tribal singalong tunes - they cannot be bettered. Loved it.

Re: What was the first gig you ever went to?
Adam and the Ants - The Prince Charming Review at the Birmingham Odeon during the early eighties. I'm pretty sure it was that although at about the same time I went to see Toyah.

I was there on the Sunday
My first gig though was Iron Maiden at Wembley Arena, Dec '88 ... only four rows from the front, and could feel the heat from the pyrotechnics

Re: What was the first gig you ever went to?
The first gig I chose to go to myself (not chosen by either of my parents) was Kula Shaker at the Brixton Academy in 1997 when I was 12 .
The security let me stand on the Mixing desk barrier so I was tall enough to see

Re: What was the first gig you ever went to?
I think the Prodigy sparked my love of music, since then I've been mental about music, mainly of the electronic kind. I can honestly say if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have the love I have now for D'n'B, I wouldnt be able to play any of the instruments I can now, I would be able to produce my own music. I dont know where id be!
Inspirational, and totally original.
