DHL - pain in the backside !

Had a parcel delivered via DHL when I was out - they left a card with a parcel number and contact number to re-arrange delivery.

I rang the automated service and re-arranged delivery for the next day.
No parcel.

I have been hold for over 1/2hr every time I ring customer services and after the third try they told me the parcel number was for someone else's parcel in Glasgow !

I eventually got the number out of them for my local depot where parcel is being held and tried that - no such number

I dread ringing DHL again only to be on hold for ages with no avail.

Any help or ideas folks - I don't fancy driving to the depot to pick it up (even if they could find parcel with wrong number) as it isn't that local to us.

Re: DHL - pain in the backside !

Can you contact the sender and ask for a tracking number, follow that on line and they may even have an online redelivery function, or at least you will have the correct details when you ring.

Re: DHL - pain in the backside !

I used to work for them!!

Theres DHL and theres DHL!!!

By that I mean there is the old DHL international that we all know sends and delivers international parcels/documents.

The other DHL is the old Securicor Omega

Deutsche poste bought Securicor Omega in 2002 and DHL international in 2003 and since then they have been trying to merge both companies and it's been difficult!!

you get people like you forever on the phone waiting as customer service is crap!
You find the local depot and its the old DHL international one and they have no such tracking number and what you really need is the old Securicor Omega depot or visa versa.

I think what you need to do is find which DHL has got the parcel, if its been sent within the UK then I would go down the Securicor Omega DHL route as they handle most UK sent parcels.
Good Luck!

Hope when the do track it its not missing!!!!!!!
