Plumbing help- 27mm ID plastic nut for shower

I need a replacement for a plastic nut that secures one of the body jets to the rear of our walkin shower - there was a leak but it snapped when I tried to tighten it.
The shower was made in China (by a company called Korra) and the original local supplier does not exist anymore.
I took it to the local plumbers' merchant only to find that it's non standard; it has a finer thread than normal UK waste fittings etc.
The inside diameter (thread size) is 29 mm - not standard three-quarter inch but a smidgeon larger.
One side of the nut is flattened to from a sort of flange - although a replacement nut without a flange could be used if I first inserted a standard 3-quarter inch poly sink washer filed a little on the inside to fit the thread of the body jet.
Big problem is where to get a suitably threaded plastic nut ?

Your local plumbers merchant should be able to advise your where to get it, if he doesn't stock it.

Local merchant suggested a local company specialising in fixings but they turned out not to deal with anything larger than a half-inch

I'd ask him agin, saying that his earlier lead came up blank. Yellow pages might be a good place to check out first though.

Non standard?
I suspect not.
There are only generally English and metric.

Try your local BSS, I bet they can sort you out.
Take the original with you.

Both standard English and metric plumbing fittings have coarser threads than the ones required.
I will, However, try BSS in Salford as you suggested.

I'd guess it's a metric fine thread, but the truth is, without a pic, I'm not exactly sure what you're describing.

If BSS can't sort you, you're in trouble, is what I'm trying to say

It appears to be 10 turns (or threads) per cm - roughly 25 TPI.
I checked electrical conduit threads as well but these are also too coarse (more like 10 or 12 TPI).
The nut's ID is 29 mm and the male thread it screws onto about 30 mm.
(That's why I have filed down the inside of a standard 3-quarter inch poly sink washer to fit over the male thread before applying the nut - when I get one).

This evening a friend with a lathe and other equipment made me one - from an existing piece of brass hex tubing.
He tells me it's actually 18 TPI; main thing is that it works!
