Well today was the day, and well,

me
OK, basically a needle was stuck in my shoulder and a small electric pulse was put through it for 10 minutes. Well I didn't feel anything with the electric pulse, it was with the needle going in that I turned white.
I was expecting a local anaesthetic, and when he said "I'm going to stick a needle in here you might feel a little prick", I thought no problem. Two seconds later " Tell me when you feel it".

, what the

Normally when I feel pain I pull away from the source of it, I couldn't. There was pain, and an unnatural feeling that almost scared me worse than the pain because I couldn't get away from it and I didn't fully understand what was happening. I don't know how to explain it. It was like all the nerves in the shoulder had bunched up and the needle was trying to pierce through a wall of them, that I didn't what it to do, cause the further the needle went the more my shoulder felt like it was going to

cave in. I sat on a stool for the next 10 minutes frighted to move incase I moved the needle.
I know that it's not as painful as a lot of other medical treatment that people have had to get done, but it was the most painful experience that I've had to go through at a hospital. I have to go back at some stage and get it done again and all I can say is that I'm not looking forward to it, but hey, I should benefit from it in the long run.
