REALLY Old Gameboy Game

Heya guys recently been missing a game I hd back when I was in secondary school (Gameboy along with game and 4 AA Rechargable batteries nicked )

Game was 101-in-1 Cartridge and there was a tank game on there that was enjoyable.

You had to protect a insignia that was covered by a layer of bricks and tanks spawned and you had to kill them.

I am specifically looking for the 101-in-1 Cartridge but cannot seem to find it anywhere and its really disappointed me

Anyone here know what I am talking about ??? I am hoping to locate another copy of it for some old school fun.

Re: REALLY Old Gameboy Game

Game is called "Battle City"

it's on nearly all those pirate carts :D I agree... It was awesome!

Another favourite of those carts is a japanese game called "Pitman".

Have a look on ebay. I don't think it's too hard to find a cart with that game on it. I seriously loved those hols to spain, cos I usually bought 3 or 4 of those carts. Was a great way of playing lots of games cheaply. Also it got me realising I can play through jap games without knowing what was going on :P

Edit : Just found out we have a cart with the game on it. Tested working!

Bloody Tease

Any chance you could fire it up and take a pic of the game with a level loaded so I can see if it is indeed that game.

I just thought it was called Tank ???

I also wasnt aware they were actually pirate carts, clever pirates even back then eh hehe.

Do they still do these in spain, I also searched on ebay for 101-in-1, 101 in 1 and even 101 but nothing

Re: REALLY Old Gameboy Game

none of the games on these carts had any save. it was all password only titles.

that's why none had zelda, mario land 2 or anything decent :P

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_City_(video_game)

the carts always renamed games and listed the same game tons of times to make it look like it had more games on it. cheating swines.

If you're not convinced about buying one from ebay, i'll be happy to sell mine if you really need it. A fiver shipped okay?

I could use some trader feedback anyway.

:edit: deleted by mod

that cart has battle city on it

Re: REALLY Old Gameboy Game

It didn't. I can remember my friend coming home from malaga and going on about how he had red, blue and yellow all of a sudden. I didn't give a whoop, because I had the Oz versions from nearly a year and a half before. Was wetting myself when I finally forced him to...

"let me see your pokeymans"

and he got all baleful because he couldn't save.

The carts, I believe, are chinese and are sold in all major crapholes across the world where street counterfeit hawking is rampant. Mostly now they sell "ds games" which are really only old gba carts full of 4mb gba games plus old colour and gameboy ones, which only work on consoles up to the gba sp.

I guess now with the slot1 ds flash carts, you'll see hundreds of chinese fakes.

but yeah, back to the topic... battle city was an awesome game. You could choose any level you wanted up to a certain point at the start as well. It took some real skill to play.

Hope you find a copy of the game that suits you dude :D Need any more help, hit me up with a PM.

Oops Sorry.

I'd still advise you to go to trading though...

If I take him up on his offer I will open something in the trading forums.

He was just offering to see if I was interested which is much appreciated
