help sending a 2 seater sofa please!

Hi,

I have just sold a 2 seater new leather sofa on ebay and said I could possibly arrange a courier. Does anyone know a good courier that would do this for a reaosnable rate. Its only a small sofa measuring 62 x 36 inches so nothing massive. Its to be transported from Lincoln to Kent.

I'm going to ring parcel force tomorrow for a quote and I might also look into hiring a van and taking it myself

Thanks for any advice.

Parcelforce won't be able to carry that.

A local man with a van should be able to do it!

Have a look at http://www.interparcel.com/services.php

"Interparcel Titan

This service is also suitable for heavy and oversized items up to 50kg."

Good Luck, if you do use them let us know what the company are like as i've never used them yet, just bookmarked it incase

Re: help sending a 2 seater sofa please!

I've used interparcel lots of times, they are as good as any one else, but you also have to rely on the courier firms they sub-contract to for the actual delivery. The one time I had a problem with a delivery I sent out was that it was left and signed for at a neighbours address by the courier. I was then chased by the buyer for non-delivery, but interparcel sortred it all out.

Re: help sending a 2 seater sofa please!

Thanks very much everyone. I have found a local man who will do it for £65 just hope he will be trust worthy...this is the website I found him from....

http://www.couriersoncall.co.uk:80/m...&code=64209370

so he seems ok.

I tried interparcel who could do it next day for £99.99 which is still very good but its all down to the buyer who's paying for it

Thanks again
