Fergie's on stage at the minute at the Concert For Diana. Nice miming!. I wonder how many acts will follow her shining example.

Ballet? Some skinny bint is being tossed around the stage like a bg of spuds. So as part of a programme to honour the memory of Diana to the masses, the boys now inflict this upon us. Poor choice. It's turning into a success like Edwards It's a Royal Knock Out.

Saw Black Eyed Peas last year at the NIA and thought how fantastic Fergie was - her voice was amazing and most definitely live - why would she want to mime today

Wish Simon le Bon had mimed though, I think his voice is terrible, he's never been able to sing live - remember the Millennium party on tv ...

WHen the first "song" started, the sound was spot on. As soon as she started "singing" the sound got crap. Get to the chorus again, the sound improved. Definitely miming at the chorus at least.

As for the tickets, if it weren't for so many being given away in compos etc, I doubt if there even would have been anywhere near as "many" as there are there. Probably more security staff than paying customers. Lets face it, who's going to pay good money to listen to that line-up?

Re: So Fergie's the first "lip-syncher" - how many will follow?

Totally harsh, IMO.

For live, I think it's quite impressive.
The Joseph thing with Donny Osmond, Jason Donovan and the other geezer was class, even though I can't stand the song.
Me and the missus have discussed how good the actual quality of the singing is.

I commented a couple of weeks ago about how good the sound is at Wembley.

As for the stadium being the best in the world, no way.

It lacks something, although I can't put my finger on it.

The Millenium stadium is better.

And what the hell has David Beckham got to do with anything

Re: So Fergie's the first "lip-syncher" - how many will follow?

Oh, it looks half empty because I think it's limited to 63,000.

The George Michael concert looked a lot worse, with most people standing.

Although I suspect it didn't sell out, seeing as we were given free upgrades from standing on the pitch to pukka seats.

She definately wasnt miming the verse, I dont think she was actually miming the chorus but the backing trac vcal was def cranked up to help her out.

Think its a pretty good line up for what it is and I have quite enjoyed all the performances.

Have the BBC recruited a group of chimps to manage the broadcast of this? Not their slickest OB production.

I think they are all flesh and bones, X of D.

I am quite enjoying the concert, nothing like a bit of emotional exuberance on a Sunday evening.

Frankly Rod was the best by a mile. And no, I'm not joking. He was the only artist to raise the crowd from comatose to 'active'.

Some of the other acts won the lame peformance of the ye.......sorry decade award.

Joss Stone butchering 'under pressure' was the lowlight of a pretty tame afternoon.

Re: So Fergie's the first "lip-syncher" - how many will follow?

Alot of crap on the concert, a real mish mash of some class talent ie Rod Stewart etc and then we get rubbish like Fergie and Kanye West.

I think MrsSigns needs her ears washing out, Fergie was miming and she cannot sing live at all, as for Duran Duran I dont think you have heard them properly, you may want to listen to the 2004 Wembley Arena gig, just superb and shows that Simon can actually sing as well as ever, he may have had an off day today but at least he didnt mime!!!!!

One minute i'm enjoying Rod Stewart belting out Sailing and next thing they have this crap guy Kanye West on!! How can this possibly be called music? some black guy jumping around shouting 'uhh' and yeah' down a mic with no idea of what music is about, its so called 'artists' like this rubbish thats made modern music just awful.

I dunno, I just dont get it, its all noise to me!!
