Re: I've decided to build an Ark

I hope that you have better like than I did then. We went to Spain for a fortnight at Easter. Perhaps you may recall that there was a heatwave in Britain at Easter whilst in Spain it poured with rain non stop for a week and was so cold that I had to go shopping to buy jumpers.

I hope that it stops by next Wednesday anyway as I have tickets for the ODI at Edgbaston

Re: I've decided to build an Ark

How do you plan on stopping the animals eating each other during your 6 months voyage across the flooded earth?

Re: I've decided to build an Ark

For anyone who lives outside Yorkshire, you may not realise just how devastating these floods have been - with torrential rain predicted for tomorrow as well, I think we are going to see a disaster (not on a biblical scale though I hope).

This maybe a fatal flaw in the plan. How did Noah do it?

He probably took five loaves and two fishes with him. Goes quite a long way apparently.

Re: I've decided to build an Ark

More to the point, how did he ensure that he had 2 of each of the several million species of insects in the Ark, and what did they all eat during their voyage?

Also, considering how the serpent was banished after the whol apple/tree incident, why were the serpents then saved (only way they could hav survived, as every other living thing on earth was killed?

Re: I've decided to build an Ark

They need worry no more about being surrounded in stinking sewage up to their necks.
The palace has sent condolences.
So that's alright then.

Re: I've decided to build an Ark

Yes I feel for all those affected by the floods, I have seen the devestation the water causes, its not just a case of it being wet and it will dry out, everything is ruined, and as for the the timing to announce the Queen needs 2million for repairs to the palace, it is incensitive to the needs of these poor folks who have had to leave their homes due to water. A rescue fund for them is surely more important.
