at the end of the day auction sites arent covered as much to protect the buyer, and it will help stop scammers.
has he offered to pay to post it back to you? i am sympathetic to him if it got damaged in the post and you may have a claim agains the courier.
either way it went out working, and if it comes back broken and it is your board you can always send it back to who you brought if from if its under warranty
what was it sold for anyway? was it an expensive board? good luck anyway and remember to protect yourself as its dog eat dog out there.
might be a pointer to add to future sales that returned items are subject to them paying postage (tho it may be difficult if it is faulty)
next time make a video of it working then putting it straight in a bag lol |
Who knows. He could well be a numpty... he definitely has the right CPU and I am assuming he connected power to it.
Sold it for 70 quid... it was an Asus p5n-32 deluxe gaming sli something or other. So it aint cheap.
He said he was posting it back first class - I responded saying that I would check the discrete mark I made and if it was not the same board, would not refund him the money and would not post the board back to him unless he payed additional postage.
It was insured when I posted it, but I am not sure that covers it getting broken or just not getting delivered. I will have to check - if it is covered then I may as well try and claim it back from the courier (if it is the same board that is).
Its difficult to tell I guess. I will see what (and IF) he actually posts it.
And next time a video it is!!!!
