Simple basic website required What software would you recommend

I wish to plonk up about 4 pages of a simplistic nature.

Don't want any complex software. Just a simple small product, preferably with a design wizard that will generate the content and dump it ready for uploading.

Suggestions please.

Saying I need a website is a bit vague! Any details regarding it. What do you need it to do? Host images or is it just content ?

Some text and some images really. No more functionality than what MySpace can provide.

Re: Simple basic website required What software would you recommend

acehtml is a freebie (I think) which would also do the job...

In all honesty though, you can't beat notepad for simple pages.
It's suprisingly easy to learn simple html, have a look here, here, and here.

Got any spare-time?

Re: Simple basic website required What software would you recommend

I use to use Notepad for creating pages on the fly back in the late 90's. What I want to do is put up a few pages of a personal nature.

I have a copy of Dreamweaver but it's using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

I won't use MySpace co's of all the advertising.

Re: Simple basic website required What software would you recommend

yeah dreamweaver is horrid.
I actually found learning html easier than learning dreamweaver.... I think they may have a problem there.

AceHTML and easyHTML are both worth googling.

Re: Simple basic website required What software would you recommend

I started out on notepad then moved to homesite, that was then taken over my Macromedia and I have played with the new dreamweaver cs3. If your looking for some help let me know and I can code you what you want.

This is something I am currently working on, started a while ago but just waiting on the content. See here all my time was given for free.

Re: Simple basic website required What software would you recommend

Have quick gander at my home page.. www.kjhurst.com

It was cobbled together using Notepad after a free download of a template from www.styleshout.com.

One way to do it.

Dreamweavers extremely annoying to use. I found it simpler in the end just opening notepad than using it.
