This take me back to my childhood, police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Re: Cutty Sark Ship on fire

Doesn't seem like anyone been hurt. But this is a tragedy in historical terms. The Cutty Sark was going through an extensive renovation due to it's unique status.

I spent many a school trip there. Damn shame.

Re: Cutty Sark Ship on fire

The fire has been put out now, but there is virtually nothing left of it - see
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/...266631,00.html
what an absolute tragedy we have lost a real piece of culture and history.

Re: Cutty Sark Ship on fire

According to this article around 50% of the ship wasn't on site as it had been taken away for repairs and they seem to be pretty sure that they'll be able to sort it all out which is good news.

I always thought that one was a replica and the real one was hidden away somewhere...
