Driving test passed by impersonators

whats bought this to my attention is In the Sunday Independent. Anyone read the story with the above headline.
Bit that tickled me was the Somali bus driver was convicted of taking therory tests for 200 of his fellow countrymen. Who he claimed did not have enough English to read the questions.

290 people have been arrested in the past four years for impersonating a learner drivers.

I do not think its right at all the service these guys are providing. But you got to hand it to them for sheer nerve haven't you?

Re: Driving test past by impersonators

Happens a lot. People take exams or even interviews for other people.

I was working on a project last year, installing PCs in Jobcentres in London and the south east. You'd get 4-6 members of staff sent to a specific site.

One time, we met up with the team leader early to go over the work ahead. He had a list of all staff attending and was pleased to see a familiar name. "Oh, Mo Lucas is with us today. He's a nice guy. I've worked with him before".

An hour later, Mo turns up. Unless Mo had lost several stone and shrunk a foot and a half, then this was not the same guy

Turns out it was his "brother" And the guy had no technical skills either

Agreed. This sort of thing happens much more frequently than is realised.
The only documents worth anything for Identification purposes are Passports and Photo Driving Licences, and even these can be forged.
The other, non-photo items are not worth the paper,or plastic, that they are written on.

Years ago I had a mate who had an identical twin - and I mean identical. They used to work as a team on things like exams, driving tests, etc....

Re: Driving test past by impersonators

I know when they were teenagers, one of them posted his passport to Spain when the other one got in trouble, dread to think what they're up to now!
