Agreed. They are bleedin' orrible'.

The strange thing is, is that Coffee took off here first. Then Tea came in and we went nut's for it! Whereas the continentals stuck with Coffee. Perhaps that explains it.......

I like a nice strong cup of tea, the only time I will ever have a fruit tea is when I have a stomach upset and I do find that a cup of peppermint tea is very good for settling down the old digestion.

I'll get my coat, as I have now got to get to my flower arranging class at the local W.I.

Re: whoever brought tea into this country wants shooting

Don't drink tea. Don't really like adding milk to beverages.

I drink coffee black with one sugar, but have cut down a lot recently.

Biscuits are good.

Oh and these fruit teas and stuff are vile. They always remind me of skanky hippy chicks that run craft shops and don't shave their arm pits.

For all Tea and Biscuit Lovers. . .

Assam for me as far as the leaves go, sometimes a a bag of Camomile. Coffee? . . .far too much and must cut down!

As mentioned by the Eurosport commentators whilst I was watching a stage in the Giro (cycling's Giro d'Italia) the other day

Re: whoever brought tea into this country wants shooting

i am far more a coffee drinker myself but just now and again I'll have a berry infusion, love the smell and taste. Usually I make morning drinks and that mean tea for the missus. Unfortunately I mistakenly slipped a tea bag into me berry infusion and ten minutes later took a massive slurp UUUUUUUUUUGGGH pukesville

No, it's this whole "tea is so refreshing" concept. I just do not get it.

Here's scenario for you. It's a hot day and you been watching the racing from your executive box. You're feeling rather parched. What would one choose to drink?

A tall glass of Pimms with ice and fruit (followed by some cucumber sandwiches) or a cup of "rosy lee"?

I rest my case (rest yours )

Actually, I do like a cup of tea when I'm working, and that's regardless of whether I'm on the PC, or out in the garden. Hot or cold I find tea refreshing.

Personally, I'm happy drinking either tea or coffee, but have always been of the opinion that fruit infusions (NOT 'teas', please...) are for gurls.....

That said, i am currently supping an Aero mint hot chocolate whilst seeing how this debate unfolds........
