Angry Selling my ps3 on ebay?

hi guys i am trying to put my ps3 on ebay but i keep on getting the following when i try to list my item:

Sell: Promote and Review Your Listing
You cannot submit your listing due to the following problems

PlayStation 3 Sales
Thank you for choosing eBay to list PlayStation 3 merchandise.

Due to the high demand and limited supply of Sony PlayStation 3 gaming systems, eBay is taking stronger measures to protect both buyers and sellers within our community.

From the European launch date on 23rd March, 2007, you must satisfy the following criteria in order to sell a European region PS3 console:

Offer PayPal as the sole payment method.

You must be PayPal verified and link your eBay account to your PayPal account. For instructions on how to become PayPal Verified, click here. If you already have a PayPal verified account and continue to receive this message, you need to link it to your eBay account. For instructions on how to link your PayPal account to your eBay account, please click here.

One-day listings are not allowed.

New sellers cannot list using the Buy It Now (Fixed Price) option.

In order to offer more than two PlayStation 3 consoles you must have more than 50 feedback, of which at least 98% must be positive.

We thank you for your understanding and we appreciate your continuing support in helping to keep eBay a great place to buy and sell.

I meet all the criterias though so i am confused.
Could somebody help as i am really desperate to get money for it as i am buying a pc lol.

Thanks
Tom

Re: Selling my ps3 on ebay?

Why not sell it in the classifieds forum here?

There's no fees to pay so you'll end up with more cash.

Re: Selling my ps3 on ebay?

Just have a good read of the rules and take a look at some existing threads to get an idea of how it works.

You can accept any form of payment like paypal, bank transfer or cash on collection.

If you need any help just post back in here, I'm sure we can sort you out.

Re: Selling my ps3 on ebay?

Then you're not allowed to sell on eBay legally either, are you?

Ah, bummer.

Could it be a problem with the paypal linking or verification?

Maybe but once you take listing, selling and paypal fees in to account you're gonna lose at least 20 quid.

true - but if he use paypal he has some protection - if you look on the disputed sales etc thread on this forum the only protection that can be offered here is a trading ban

its all very well having stringent rules about selling but if something goes wrong the moderators are powerless apart from trading bans! - and people still re-register under assumed identities

and btw - the above comment has nothing to do with my trading on these forums which has been fine - just pointing out potential pitfalls!

my 2p worth.

Your listing price= fees
your final price= fees+bump to nearest pound up.
Paypal fees at least £30 I would say the sale alone would ost you in excess of £60.Then there is no guarantee you will find a half decent person who will actually pay you when you want never mind pay to at all.

I suggest you sell it on this forums. Most users here are serious a/v nuts and the only fees you may have to pay would be paypal. Most will do a simple b/t and your done.
Granted you will not get as much as flea bay but you wont get the hassle associated with the auction group. Try here no luck try the dreaded flea bay.

Oh and i may be looking out for one of them too very soon. I suggest you stick it on the class section and see how it goes.

Ayub.

You can use paypal for buying and selling here too but to be fair it offers very little protection anyway.

I'd much rather trade on here than ebay, at least here the trading mods will help out if anything goes wrong where as ebay and paypal couldn't give a toss. The amount of problem trades here is tiny anyway.

Ebay is also powerless except for banning someone, the only difference is that ebay and paypal charge you a fortune where as here it's free.

Unfortunately the OP can't trade here as you have to be 18.
