Had only about 3 or 4 in my formative years, and never actually got past A&E, i.e. got taken to a ward, until about 25. Since then had 3 major incidents over the last 8 years:
1) Acute pancreatitis - very painful stomach pains, within approx 2 hours of lunch at work (In Brum), and starting to feel something was up, being violently sick at home, then my first ambulance trip

, ended up in A&E having my first shot of morphine (first of many!). 2 weeks in hospital, 7 days without any drink, and 9 days without food whilst my pancreas calmed itself down. Really wouldn't recommend this to anyone, although I did end up losing about 1.5 stone in 2 weeks!
2) Another acute pancreatitis episode, this time in Edinburgh, had one trip on one night to A&E, they sent me home saying it was an ulcer. Went home, but was back in A&E the next night, sent me home again. Then 2 days later, went back where they accepted the pancreatitis, and spent another week or so in hospital.
3) Ruptured Patellar Tendon - continuing the sporting theme of others

snapped my patellar tendon playing volleyball (Patellar tendon connects the knee bone to your shin bone, one of the strongest tendon's in the body!) Felt as though someone had hit me with an iron bar, but I wasn't even near anyone, just jumped, landed, and snap! Went to A&E with a dislocated knee cap (patellar) due to the snap, and they diagnosed it as just that, a dislocation, and sent me home!! Wasn't until the follow up the week after in the "fracture clinic" that I was diagnosed with RPT, and admitted there and then, and was due for operation that day, but was operated on the next day. Spent 3 days in hospital, 8.5 weeks in total in a full leg cast, and 5.5 months in physio getting my leg bend and strength back.
Others prior to this was a cut on the elbow, sore throat, and a body rash/infection, and that was it as far as I can remember. No broken bones, yet, although with the RPT the doc did say I would have been better off breaking the leg
EDIT: by the way, they never found a reason for the pancreatitis, as I didn't have the usual sympton's of too much drink! Had an ERCP after the 2nd one, but still no joy, I've just got my fingers crossed I don't get it again!
