Whats this song and who sang it.

I used to have it on tape and then used play it in a band.

An old blues gruff sounding singer. Might be called chicken heads! other people have sang it as well, but I'm after the one i'm after (if you know what i mean).

"little girl, little girl you got me hooked"
"little girl, little girl you sure can cook"
"When you cook that chicken save me the head"
"I should be working but I'm all in bed"

"Without your Love"
"I can't go on"
"This feeling that i have for you"
"Honey's much to strong"

"Let me in, let me in, let me in"
"I want to ease on in."

Any Ideas?

Hope you dont think this is hijacking and sorry I dont know your answer. There is a current advert for some playstation or other and a Japanese voice is singing '..I can give you what you want,' to this electronic backbeat. Anyone know who is the artist please?

Re: Whats this song and who sang it.

Wow I've found it!!

Thanks unique, I went to all music.com typed in chicken heads and there was 23 matches, so i went through them all.

The song was originally composed and sang by Calvin Carter, but, I don't really like his voice.

The one that I've been after is by 'The James Cotton Blues Band' from the album 'High Energy (1975)'. and the song is called 'Chicken Heads'.

If you like blues download it (or buy it), the 20 second preview that you get at allmusic.com doesn't do it justice.

Right, I'm off to find where I can download it from.

Cheers everyone

Re: Whats this song and who sang it.

checkout amazon.com or amazon.ca as the us or canadian sites are usually much cheaper. i find the canadian site is cheaper at times due to the exchange rate, and you still get the exact same item from the same company at times

i saw a copy at less than $10/£5 plus delivery, plus samples, so flick thru amazon and you should be able to get it in a week for £10
