Ten Kids & Counting

Dont know if anyone else caught hold of this on channel 5, nice to see where taxpayers money is going. Do you think people that solely rely on benefits they should limit how many children they can have. Why is it all these people saying there not poncing so what are they doing, and how hard life is yet there all fat gits. One family who both not worked had 3 playstations, 2 xboxes, plasma screen and a lovely £700 exotic parrott. Why is it i support my family and know my financial limits so know when to stop but the system penalises me yet embraces these pikey scum.

Re: Ten Kids & Counting

I've just caught the end of it - I was wondering how they could afford it.

Should have guessed, really.

Re: Ten Kids & Counting

unfortunately population control is a very delicate subject.......what limit do you set? 3 kids? 5? and how ethical is it to physically mutilate someone (in fact two persons) against their wishes?

i certainly agree something needs to be done to stop people banging out more kids to increase their benefits.....but what? ship them all to a special benefits agency camp for immediate family units over 5 people? like a prison except even nicer, where they are forced to work, their kids looked after in a nursery/schooling area during the day.......again, the ethical side to this is dubious as you are forcing someone against their will.....

these people are just the ultimate endgame of those who feel they deserve to have everything for free or dirt cheap....ie those who believe they should have the latest most amazing all in one AV amp but only pay £100 for it....why? its a luxury item....the idea is you work hard and you get your reward to play......if everyone worked then we wouldnt all need to work quite so hard but still get the reward.....but most people would rather not work and still get the good stuff.....so those who do work have to work harder to get the same.......then there is the arguement over what work constitutes a greater gift to society....simple answer...none.....yes doctors, nurses, fireman etc save lives....but then those same people wouldnt do such a good job if after work they didnt have a pub to go to, or a TV to watch at home to de-stress......or people who build their fire engines or surgury equipment, just as important.......the debate on that is endless and futile...

so should a large family who are not prepared to try and work be punished? of course they should....but how?.....there is no ethical way to do it that wouldnt lead to abuses of the new powers.....

and on that philosophical note, i'm off to get dinner and watch a film...heh

Re: Ten Kids & Counting

I dont`t mean to be offensive but what people have to realise is that 9 times out of ten the children will rely on the social when there older. Ten kids have have for instance two kids each thats another 20 children we taxpayers have to pay for and why our children have to go with out. I just think we should just stop worrying about who we offend and tackle this element of socitey & anti social families aswell. It seems to me nowadays the more anti social & anti work the more you from this country and I for one have had enough.

Mylo is just pointing out that this is a very emotive subject and that these threads do have a habit of quickly deteriorating.

OK... I think that was a request to close the thread.
