Where to go in Glasgow?

I have to spend three days in Glasgow next week and would appreciate any advice on places to go etc
The only knowledge I have about the place is from watching episodes of Rab C Nesbitt, so I am feeling a bit nervous

Re: Where to go in Glasgow?

Thanks all

Will be there Tues/Weds/Thurs and will be busy during "office hours" so am looking for pleasant nightlife. Wont have transport, so hoping for something near the train station area.

Re: Where to go in Glasgow?

You're best to head for Sauchiehall Street if its bars etc your looking for. Depends what kind of night you're looking for. You can get everything from traditional 'pubs' to trendy wine bar type places.
Its within walking distance (10mins) of the train station (central) or about £3/4 in a cab.
You've also got a huge cinema and a couple of comedy clubs if thats your scene.

Cheers
Craig

Re: Where to go in Glasgow?

Glasgow's a great city. If they spent a bit of money on the place it would be suitable for keeping pigs in.

Seriously though, have a look at Glasgow Survival, a great guide to Glasgow
