Anyone been to Meeru Island Resort

So we have chosen the Maldives and pretty sure the Meeru Island Resort. Two choices for accomodaiton, a Land Jacuzzi Villa or Water Villa. The diference being the Water one has steps down to the sea and no Jacuzzi.

Just wondering has anyone been to this island and have any comments?

not been to this island but been to Kuramathi, makaufushi and around the maldives a few times - have the water villa if you can justify the extra cost purely on that wake up and say wow in the morning factor

Re: Anyone been to Meeru Island Resort

unless that is, you really want to laze around in a jacuzzi...
sod it, i'm not being very helpful here am i???
whichever you chose you'll love it - take an underwater camera 9i bought an underwater case for my digital) and include as much of the cost as possible in your original booking fee - drinks/food are very expensive if paid on a tab... US dollars for tips etc - staff treat you like royalty on all the islands i've been to.
pack lots of books - it's really lazy!!!!!

Re: Anyone been to Meeru Island Resort

I have been to meeru fenfushi, went 2 years ago,all i will say is it will be the best holiday you will ever have,i was there for just over 2 weeks and it was brilliant, they were building some new villas when we were there, top end of the island, they looked really nice,we stayed in a beach villa,20 steps and we were in the sea,"magical".food was great, hospitality was spot on,if you get chance do a fishing trip,i did and it was worth every penny, caught a whopper in the first hour, left at 6am and lasted 2 hours, cost me about £40.Hope you enjoy it as much as me and the wife did,you are very lucky as the maldives are the jems in the ocean.
