Imperial Leather Soap/Shower Gel

Heya guys I know this is quite a strange question but just got back from going down town and just realized I have picked up the IL Shower Gel instead of the soap and on the back it says its 100% soap free

Does that mean I gotta go back out and try again or does the Shower Gel do the same thing as soap (ie get you clean).

I only picked it up cause I was in a rush and it said Imperial Leather and the liquid was green

Shower gel is fine, the 100% soap free is incase you have an allergy to soap i think.

Re: Imperial Leather Soap/Shower Gel

How did you mistake shower gel and soap?

Shower gel is a better option because soap shouldn't be used on the face or even on the body in some cases.

I only use shower gel especially with another.

Well normally the soap is where the shower gel was and because its in a pretty similiar bottle I just picked it up, the color was the same so was the name and it was pretty much where it always was lol.

Guess I should have payed more attention.

£3 for two bottles one for when I go swimming and one for home.

Re: Imperial Leather Soap/Shower Gel

Soap never seems to rinse away as well as shower gel or cream, I haven't used it for years. I just try lots of different shower creams. Dove shower cream, I find, leaves a sticky feel, a bit like soap.

My husband refuses to use the ones I do as they are too femininely scented and he prefers gel to cream. Shower creams do make your skin nice and soft, as Sporran has discovered

Re: Imperial Leather Soap/Shower Gel

shower gel, shampoo and most other cleaning products are just byproducts of the petrochemical industry, that's the 'active ingredient' the bit that gets you clean, everything else is just window dressing, we stick some perfume and colour in it, put it in a nice bottle saying Herbal Essences Organic Spring Meadow or whatever and then we rub it all over ourselves, then wash it off, then dry ourselves with a towel, maybe brush our teeth, then either get dressed or get ready for bed, depending on what time it is etc...to be honest I don't really know where I was going when I started this...

Yes but, you do something else after having a shower just before going to bed, but in some cases another shower before bed.

Re: Imperial Leather Soap/Shower Gel

So I couldn't find any of the usual almond milk soap, so picked up some infused with "jojoba oil" instead

Mmmmm. Smells positively heavenly And leaves my skin just as soft and smooth

Re: Imperial Leather Soap/Shower Gel

I like the old fashioned Pears cake of soap.(the clear amber one)
I also quite like coal tar soap.

Shower gel is overpriced and over perfumed.

So I bought this Carex Natural Balance 'Pure' hand and face wash. Very nice. People could call me "soft hands"... if they gave a damn

LGS would say that soft hands are indicative that you have never done a hard days work in your life and therefore are an enemy of the state, you over privileged, soft handed pansy
