weird & wonderful buskers in london

im putting together a self funded (ie no budget) video project and want to find as many weird and wonderful buskers in London as possible - if anyone sees a strange guy with a one stringed guitar singing his heart out at their local bus stop, a pensioner beat boxing in the nearby tube or anyone else you think i might be interested in hearing about then let me know!

Re: weird & wonderful buskers in london

That's what hit me when I came to London. I noticed everyone was miserable and there seemed to be a self-imposed no talking rule on the underground (even to friends!), but the buskers inside the stations brighten the atmosphere up

Re: weird & wonderful buskers in london

Covent Garden would probably be a good place to start as there are normally quite a few street entertainers at weekends, although I'm not sure how many will be present due to the weather. Also when it is warmer there is somtimes a guy who dresses up like a robot and does that robotic dancing stuff at Piccadilly Circus.

Apparently this Saturday should be dry and sunny too.

EDIT Sorry I got my days mixed up, Sunday will be sunny but cool. Saturday they reckon there will be showers.

Re: weird & wonderful buskers in london

Still not seen ANYTHING in London, like I found in New York, in Times Sq subway! If it wasn't for the fact that it'd take a good 45mins to upload the 2min video clip, I'd post it up, but I cannot be bothered to sit here till well gone midnight to post it up

But it's some of the BEST busking I have ever seen

Re: weird & wonderful buskers in london

go for the multi level stations where they have lots of escalators and tunnels, you find quite a few buskers sometimes in those...

Not that wierd really but quite often you'll find a guy at Bank(between the central line and northern line) playing the didgereedoo(sp). It's quite impressive.
