Cross post with the photo section - I do apologise but this is worthy news I feel.
What a disappointing night for thousands. I was lucky to be indoors on Princes Street. It was deserted. Apparently - I overheard press conversations - bits were falling off the stages. The wind strength was simply too strong.

Managed to capture a few shots - not much revelry unfortunately. Here's one to give you an idea of how bleak it was- taken at 22:46pm. Hope you all have a great 2007 wherever you are.

Brilliant shot there. Too bad about the cancellation but I thought it was optomistic of it going ahead earlier in the afternoon. Later the weather just got worse, the winds exceeding 70mph around Glasgow, our neighbours 10 foot wall reduced to rubble.
