Thanks: Gave 49, Got 32 | What am I allowed to take on a Plane now?
Does anyone know the current rules for taking things on planes as hand luggage, I need to take a Laptop, Ninty DS, iPod and mobile. Am I allowed? I'm flying from Glasgow to Geneve tomorrow.

All fine....They may say your only allowed 1 bag to carry on. But you will be fine. Did fly the other week with a bit more that you plan to go with no problems.
See here for more info.

All those will be fine. Laptop should be taken out of hand luggage to scan on its own. Problem area is liquids. You are only allowed items in containers upto 100ml and they all have to be in a small clear bag (they should give you one at the airport) and scanned on their own again.

We flew out of Gatwick last week. As people have said above, you should be OK with all of the above.
Allow extra time to get through to airside though. We had a 1 hour Q that stretched the whole length of the terminal and though a load of Cattle grid backdoubles.
They were removing and scanning shoe's, Jackets, All bags, Electricals and liquids <100ml seperate which took ages. This coupled with the Crimbo rush was a nightmare.
It may not be as strict of long at Glasgow but don't say we didn't warn ya.

I flew out of gatwick about a week after the new rules came in and didn't even have to queue to get through security, did have to take off my jacket and shoes though.

Haha, and I'm guessing I'm not allowed explosives either!
