I'm dyslexic ( Yes I really am!!) & I find it even easier to read than when it is spelt correctly!!!
My theory is that my mind jumbles up the letters in a word, when they are already jumbled my mind re-jumbles them..in....to...... the right............order...........
Or something like that?????

Apparently, the mind reads the whole word and, as long as the first and last letters are in the right place, you can read the whole word easily...
Also the mind predicts the likeliest word to come next in a sentence. so for example "iprmoatnt" becomes much easier to decipher if it forms a sentence eg "the olny iprmoatnt tihng"
I suppose its a bit like how a computer compresses data in an image to make it easier and faster to process. We can read fast because of this.
