Yeah, your membership card is in the post.

Expect a free HD DVD player, gold watch and pension plan.

Can i have a Blu-ray player instead??

Also, i prefer silver coloured watches.

Oh, and dont worry about the pension. I got a cracking one already.
Can it be used for a savings account instead ??

The idea is new members may take your responses in their threads with more credibility......although if they see this thread and the fact most of your posts were complete tripe, then they may ignore your advice

oh, the 1,000th post only gets the boxes for the player and watch.....and the form to sign for the pension.....at 3,000 posts you get the mains cable, the battery and the pen to sign the form with......etc

i always prefer trading on the forums with senior members, most senior members value the forums so wouldnt risk getting banned for the sake of ripping someone off

Re: What are the benefits of 1000 posts ??

Ive noticed recently there are people registering JUST to sell things, which i dont think is the reason to join, personally.

I think someone is trying to sell some decks and asking the buyer to pay £300 to a complete stranger.

i always trust a Senior Member. God love em

Once you reach 1000 posts then you are allowed to post carte blanche on any subject and in any manner which you deem appropriate - without fear of suspensions/bans/warnings............

Senior membership also grants you an automatic place at the next AVFLD night out in Manchester.

Only when you get to 1,000 do you receive the secret that unlocks the code 'AVFLD' and grants you the night out of your dreams.

Senior members AshworthAcca, Woodywizz, Signs, domtheone and myself have all unlocked this code back on the 24th November - superb.

When i hit 1000 posts I got my HD-DVD player. However when I went back down again Stuart and Ian_J turned up at my door demanding it back. I tried to reason with them but Ian_J gave me 2 good reasons not to argue.

My time in hospital taught me a valuable lesson.

i saw Ian J shopping in town last week, he's smaller than the smallest member of the cast in "The Time BANDITS" : ...did he bite your ankle

note: ive never seen Ian J, i would imagine he's standard height (and a top bloke for seeing this as the naff joke it turned out to be) and not banning me
