Why does the sound come out so low?

My folks have a simple DVD to 32 inch widescreen TV set up. Therefore they rely on the integral stereo speakers.

Why is it that some DVD's (sometimes the latest releases) play withvery low audio.

They then have to crank the sound right up.

Why is this? In simle terms please

Cool Re: Why does the sound come out so low?

I think it to do with the out put of the DVD play as I have had to turn the volume up on my TV from the 2 players I have had it something like a 1/3rd as much.

It’s a bit like you have to crank the volume up from an amp if you have a record deck playing than other sources
