removing silicon sealer - how the hell to do it????

Been trying to remove some clear silicon sealant from a sink and the stuff is a nightmare to remove. Been scraping at it for ages and the stuff just doesn't wanna go.

Any plumbers/DIYers out there with any suggestions?

Ta.

Either use silcone sealant remover (screwfix sell it) or a scapel blade and try to get it off in complete strips.

As poster above says. I have used it and it works a treat, if you have any small cuts on your hands though it stings like hell.

I recently had to do the same with a bathroom sink, I'd bought some sealant remover but in the end I just used a spare stanley knife blade which worked a treat.

like they all said really. Doitall sell unibond silicone remover for about a fiver.

Put it on leave for an hour and its just rubs and washes off with very little effort.

Also is you are putting back use a good quality sealer, unibond do one with a lifetime guarantee for mold. Which is the reason for me removing in the first place, cheap silicone lol.

Got unibond now

Got unibond now
I replaced the sealant on my shower tray with the Unibond mold resistant one less that a year ago and there is mold growing on the sealant in one of the corners
