C2 is for girls.
It's like drinking low calorie beer. What's the point?
Stella all the way.

While I understand the negative C2 comments, the target consumer is the drinker who does not want to get drunk. Given this, I've tried it as an alternative to shandy and think it does the job |

Not at all.
It's not the best selling UK beer for nothing
Having said that it does need keeping properly.

You do know that Stella is brewed in the UK, is not lagered, and the taste is produced soley by additives don't you?

Taste is largely irrelevant to the average british drinker.
I'm more interested in the fact that the pub closes at 11.20 so I need some of the old wife beater to make it worth going in the first place.

Which is why I always buy Belgian in cans (I mostly drink in the house)
It's an entirely different taste.
I know what you're saying and don't disagree.
But we mostly drink alcohol for a reason, ie to get the desired effect.
I know I've had a drink with Stella, but not with Carling.
I have never had a hangover with Stella, but I certainly have when I've been forced to buy Carling.
When I have my coinosseurs (sp) hat on, I'm partial to a drop of Marstons
