winters coming

We have double Glazing but we still feel cold even with the heating turned on
Someone said to us there next door neighbour had the same problem. What he did was he got lots of old clothes put them in bin liners and stuffed them up the chimney. He said what a difference its made. So today we did the same when you look up our chimney we have like Mum calls them secret shelves as you put your hand up! So we did the same filled bin liners full of old towels and even an old duvet, stuffed it up there Seems to stay up there a treat. Waiting to reap the benefits now see if the room stays any warmer.. wondering anyone tried this bit of madness.

Re: winters coming

nah , heard of cling filming windows, but i would worry if you cut off all exits of any gas leaks , you need to allow air to circulate .hope you move the bags in time for santa or he'll sue you.

Re: winters coming

Yeah it has suddenly turned cold especially at night. I guess it's time to go and get out the winter clothes...

Very charitable...what a waste of old clothes...they could go to Africa and give the man something to wear while he is being taught fishing skills so he can feed himself for more than a day!

...plus how's Father Christmas supposed to drop your presents off?
