Who thinks Borat should have a podcast?

Re: Borat Podcast?

I had rather have a pole on whether Sascha Baron Cohen should be taken out and shot for crimes against comedy.

Re: Borat Podcast?

was that the question? no... if you think your opinion is worthy enough then make a poll then and good luck to you. Personally i love borat, but i dont want there to be too much of him. Podcasts would get dry very quickly and ruin it for me

Given your standard of English, I assume you are a Kazakh native - in which case I can sympathise with your failure to 'get it'

Surely you mean Catherine Tate, Richard Blackwood and Shane Richie?

Re: Borat Podcast?

I always found the Borat clips in the Ali-G show to be by far the funniest bits of the show. It's SBCs best character.

Another one who thinks C. Tate is a complete waste of space.

Re: Borat Podcast?

Hmmm. If he comes up with some new material then yes.

Seems like everytime I see Borat on TV he is just recycling the same old jokes.

Very funny first and second time round - not so good 8th time round....

Anybody else find it strange that SBC and the guy from Bo Selecta seem to go on chat shows "in character"? Would have been unheard of in the past - the actor would have gone on, not the character....

(Well, apart from that Dame Edna ****e...... & Hinge and Brackett....)

And Tommy Cooper, Rod Hull & Emu, and I'm sure a host of other comediens too.

I think that's the difference. They are comedians 1st and actors 2nd. Their ego is in their character and not as themself. You wouldn't see Mel Glibson coming on Parkinson in a beard and a loincloth acting as if he was the messiah would you. (or would you? )

Each to their own, I guess. However, I would say that some Tate characters and sketches grate on my nerves…

I think Borat is very funny, though, and I especially find it funny how Kazakhstan still gets its knickers in a twist over him. They are just making it worse for themselves – and they can’t even see it! LOL
