GRRR! Other 'amateur' forums!

Tried to buy a camera lens on another forum today. Offered full asking price, received a PM to accept my offer and phone number to contact.

Phoned up and the bloke had sold it to someone else on the forum!

He'd PM'd everone on his thread and sold it to the first caller!

I shall not be going there for trading again!

ive used quite a few others also, and no of them are ran as well as AV, have been scammed also several times on DVDForums, I only really use AV now as the admin / rules and modz are first class

They seem to have no trading rules.

I won't name and shame, but suffice it to say they are 'amateurs' who are 'photographers'.

Sounds very dodgy to me, "readers wives" springs to mind.
