Re: firefox problem

i thought that google detects your IP address and gives you the same page regardless of whether you type.co.uk or .com. It still has the 'search web' and 'pages from the UK' on it so i dont think it would make a difference?

Re: firefox problem

I have the same problem as I am currently travelling around Asia so to get the .com version of goog

I had to re install the Goog Toolbar on Firefox and select the .com version for searching

If you do your searchs with the toolbar it always return .com results or even just clicking on google icon will always bring it to the .com site if you set when you install, not sure what your homepage is but you can just make that the .co.uk for your browser or type in .com and get redirected to the UK

This definitely works, as otherwise if I just type Google.com I get redirected to the local vietnamese which is pretty pointless

Did you try what I said? It works for me when google resets my homepage.

Re: firefox problem

Reign-Mack, do you have the Google Tool Bar installed? If so click the down arrow on the Google logo on the toolbar, choose options, search tab, and at the bottom right you have the default URL for Google searches. You select your preferred URL (.com .co.uk .au etc) from a drop down list.
