Ebay etc buyers scams

I am aware there are scams going on originating in Nigeria as I get loads of contact from there offering to buy outside ebay using Western Union and usually when I am selling a laptop. This time I was offered a fee uncluding posting to Nigeria (usually its for a son or relative), and paid via paypal. I casually sent an email back saying send the money and recipient address, thinking I cant see how they can defraud via Paypal.
Today, as I have received a paypal email -

For security purposes,
This PayPal® payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been "APPROVED" but will not be credited to your account until the shipment reference/tracking number is sent to us for shipment verification so as to secure both the buyer and the seller..........

This was all too easy without them asking the usual buyers questions about the laptop spec and conditions.
I am sure this is another scam. Does anyone have experience of this type?
And people, BEWARE!!

Re: Ebay etc buyers scams

Do a search on the first line of the email, loads of threads about this scam. When I use ebay I wouldn't even consider sending outside of the UK. Its just not worth the hassle.
