spysoftcentral scam email

I received an email today relating to an invoice from Spydoctor.com saying that £79 had been collected from my visa account. The email said that the invoice was attached, but there was no attachment to the email.

A quick internet search identified this as a 'trojan' which has been received by many people over the past few days. There is information on Spydoctors website that confirms that it is nothing to do with them.

If you receive the email, and it contains an attachement .... don't open it !!!

Spend $37 on http://www.mailwasher.net/ - it's the best thing I ever did to combat spam and emailed viruses/trojans.

Re: spysoftcentral scam email

depends on the attachment, you can open a .txt from anyone, however why would someone send you a document as an .exe. Pretty much common sense really.

Ok, but many people who use computers and the internet are not hi tech whizz kids and may not know there exe's from there txt's, so I think its worth publicising these scams.
