Start, Run, Msconfig, Startup (far right tab), deselect it.

Re: how to remove things in pc start up????

Worthwhile checking every other app that loads at startup as well as a lot are unnecessary and are simply taking up resources.

Take care though I use http://www.processlibrary.com/ to check which ones can be safely disabled.

Re: how to remove things in pc start up????

Depends what OS you run however, XP will just leave you in safe mode until you revert the choice, which program is it, GFX drivers?

I wouldnt rely just on that one website. I just did a search for avp.exe (which is Kaspersky Antivirus) and it told me its a Trojan and to disable and remove it immediately.

Re: how to remove things in pc start up????

apart from msconfig, if you download the free windows defender from www.microsoft.com it has a easy interface for blocking startup programs, such as those who constantly reset themselves to autorun if they've been run (ie. quicktime). it also tells you if the files are windows system files or not. the program is also a spyware detector, cleans temp files etc
