Get a straight razor shave at the barber's shop on main street. You won't have to queue for long.

If you have small children with you it can be a long queue for a photo with Mickey Mouse - took us an hour. A much better alternative is to go to Mickey's Cafe in Disney Village (outside disneyland) and have a meal and all the characters come out and dance with the kids every half hour.

Buy your tickets online before you go - the ticketing was very slow (in fact everything was very slow!).

There's an excellent coaster in the MGM studios park there. Think it's called Aerosmith or some other cheesy cock rock band. anyway it's pretty cool

Take your most comfiest walking shoes as you'll be doing plenty of walking.

Best value 'junk meal' (and there will be plenty of them) is believe it or not McDonalds in the Disney Village. Cheapest for beer too.

Best 'white knuckle' ride (and there are few) is the Aerosmith ride in the Disney studio park, MUCH better than Space Mountain which IMO was one of the worst rides there, VERY uncomortable (you get banged all ove the place) and far too dark too appreciate any speed or perspective.

Went last year, had a great time. Spread over 2 days, first day got there about 10am and stayed till 5pm, second day got there 9.30am and stayed till about 11pm (stayed on for the "electric parade" and fireworks, definitely worth staying for). There was a stunt show on the studio site that was brilliant, very exciting. The Aerosmith coaster (the rock 'n' roller coaster) is definitely the one to go for (0-60mph in 2.5 seconds) as you are queing up you stand behind a barrier where the cars set off, there is a countdown and they just seem to dissappear!
The queues are pretty bad, the fast pass system makes it slightly better, but at busy times there can be queues on the fast pass as well. It is a very expensive place for food and drink, we took our own, and there are plenty of water fountains. The scary house is quite good, possibly not for very young kids though. Agree about space mountain, very uncomfortable, but you need to go on anyway.

The disneyland hotel ( the big pink one at the entrance to the park , is very expensive but very very nice . Once you've been you will not want to go to any of the other hotel complexes. Great food too which is handy as the food in the park is pretty nasty at most places.

Go early.

Get on the big rides as soon as the gate opens.

make use of the 'fastpass' system (think that's what its called) so you can book other rides for mid morning.

Wait till late on to go on some of the other big rides you've missed.

Or you'll spend all day stood in queues.

I tried that and ended up queuing for 45 mins for Thunder Mountain around 7.00pm in the evening (the longest I had to queue for a ride/attraction)!

Ok so it doesn't always work. But I'd stand by the general principle of it.

Been there, done it, got the T-shirt. Had a most enjoyable time, found everything to be far too expensive (6.90 euros for a beer) but ate annetes tower burger and got a free milkshake.

My personal recommendations

1. weekend is much quieter than weekday (least it was for us)
2. biggest queues were for Buzz lightyear, autopia and big thunder mountain.
3. The moteurs action show is awesome.
4. eat until your fit to burst at brekky, saves money on lunch.
5. 3 days is more than enoufgh (we were there for 5 as we got 2 free)
6. Eurostar is excellent.
7. the queueu times listed on the ride go by a lot quicker than you think.

We did a little thing with the boy where he rated each ride and added it all up, came out around 7/10 in total. But he cried when we left as he loved it so much. except the queing.

special tip for horny, Pick the day you want to go and pre-book your entry pass, or turn up really early as the queue for tickets into the park was absolutely horrendous.

The cinemagic show in the studios side was really good, charting 100 years of filmaking and some lovely editing!

It costs 10E more for a pass to both parks than it does for just the one park.

Take a bag into breakfast and stock up with foodstuffs for later in the day. Saves a fortune over a week and is usually less sugar loaded than the fare from the kiosks.

...save up some more and go to florida.

Paris Disney isnt a patch on the real thing. We went last year to paris and was so disappointed...mainly the lack of atmosphere from the grumpy 'cast members' but the constant 'passive smoking' while waiting for rides etc.

It makes alton towers look like a travelling fair but florida makes paris look like absolutely rubbish.

Dont want to put a downer on it...but it could have been so much better if it wasnt in france!!!

Didnt want to be the first one to say that, but you dont half get funny looks when you load up your plate with a pound of ham and 12 bread rolls.

Then go back for your breakfast.

Cheese melts easily though.
