Can anyone help, I think this PC screen is dying
This computer screen seems to be dying, does anyone know how it possibly could have happened?, maybe somebody has seen something like this before?
I've been told it looks like somebody has put pressure on the screen but it's dying in 2 places, bottom lefthand corner and the top righthand corner.
Maybe somebody knows a quick fix, I've heard if you put pressure on the screen you can get dead pixels out, but this is something else and I don't want to make it any worse.

Are you sure that the screen hasn't been dropped or had something hard thrown at it
Looks to me like the black blob is a crack in one of the layers of the screen that is losing the liquid crystal, which could also possibly explain why the stuff is not present in the bottom LH too.
Accidental house insurance if it's worth it

This is my work PC, I was working saturday, then the person working Monday morning found a small 1/4" blob, which has grown.
Of course because i was the last to use it, I'm getting the blame.
It made me laugh, the guy who thinks he's the computer expert at work, is adamant it's because I've placed a magnet on the screen

Are you sure that it's your screen and hasn't been swapped by someone who has accidently lost their temper with theirs.

Probably knocked over by a cleaner, who whistled quietly and said nothing.

Looks like a Yahoo widget of some description, Yahoo widgets are a great invention for slowing down your Win startup times and supplying you with useless info whenever you need it
