I don't really give a toss. Chances are he won't get past the second round anyway.

He is a petulant little prat anyway, so he wouldn't be getting my support in any case.

Anyone know the definition of irony?

The irony here being that a Sunday Mail columnist asked Murray tongue in cheek, as a Scotsman would he be watching England at the World Cup from home? Murray, equally tongue in cheek, replied yes, and he'd be doing it in a Paraguay shirt

Cue the scum press deciding to omit half of the anecdote and quoting what they see fit in order to make a story when there isn't one But carry on LGS, seeing as it's you

(The Sunday Mail and Mail are free from the gym, so that's how I know this. It's not like I buy it. Or go out of my way to go on their site and peruse their latest and greatest. I just like free stuff)

The Daily Mail twist the truth to suit themselves!? Heaven forbid!

You fibber LFC, free at the gym! The truth is revealed, a secret DM reader!

Isn't he England's number 3, behind "Come On" Tim Henman and Greg "tea and cucumber sandwiches on the lawn at three" Rusedski?

90% agree.

The reason it's not 100% agreement is that I prefer Tim Henman.

Cheers,

Martin.

To be honest I've never ever considered nationality when supporting one sportsperson against the another.

I prefered to support Steve Davis to Stephen Hendry and the great Lester Piggott to Wee Willie Carson to name a couple.

I really don't like this young man Murray's attitude though, but that's not based on whoever he's supporting in the WC

And please don't get me started on that arsehole Jolly Junket Jack McConnell leader of the dung heap that is known as the Scottish Parliament

What's that about Jack McConnell, I heard he had the full support of the Country, and was loved like no other politician.

I hope all the UK players get knocked out early, then we won't have to put up with all the media hype and the screeching upper class chinless wonders in the Wimbledon crowd getting on everyones nerves.

I saw overkill's buddy on tv this morning, Norm, he looked dapper sporting a sickly coloured green? two piece suit/suite, no not Andrew Marrs sofa on Breakfast AM. i'm in serious need of a new tele, and a stiff one after watching Norman that early in the morning, drink that is.

I need a restful day to day, being sunday I won't even think about Jack the Lad.

The DM beckons and Peter Hitchens is awaiting a read over a cup of Asda's finest tea, 30p per 100 and not a tea leaf to be seen, if that doesn't do for you then Hitchens probably will.

Back on topic and apologies for the above, I hope the Murray Mint Mouth gets consumed early on.

Meanwhile I'll let Jack work the rackets elsewhere.

Good morning.

Good to see Tebbs defending the honour of his mistress, over "Rossgate"
- Jonathan Woss asking Dave if ever had a Sherman over her

... can't believe Tebbs is actually complaining to the BBC over JR's use of bad language and obscene remarks about Thatch during the interview . Dave knew what he was getting into, and why the frig should Wossy change style and tone just for him.

I recall Blair doing pretty much the same thing.... Frank Skinner Show, Christmas or New Year just before the '97 election.

I agree Krish, Cameron must have realised he wasn't going into a W.I. type Q and A session with some elderly gent from the blue rinse brigade

Anyway, I always thought these people were at their best when pressing the flesh

Gotta say mate, that if I went to a gym and they had the DM there, that would be ample grounds for me cancelling my membership immediately!!

That takes me back......... Why on Earth did Blair go before the W.I. before he crosses the house to his natural home? I mean, even the word 'Labour' gets the Blitzmadels into a tizzy!

Tebbs has ever been sensitive to any 'nasty language'. Words like 'unemployment and miners' used to work him up into a regular steam! Poor thing.

Andy Murray? The guy failed to impress me when very time he starts losing a match he clutches his ankle, knee, wedding tackle or whatever. He should be a footballer. Can't stand him.

"Cameron scolded over Ross show" - news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5114946.stm

Dave's interview with Jonathan Ross (17m:49s BBC clip, requires RealPlayer, looks like they've cut out the main bits Tebbs didn't like)
