New To Home Cinema

Hi every one, Im new to home cinema and AV, and looking for some help on setting up the following components,

Sony LCD KDL-40S-2010U
Sony AV HTSS1000
Sony DVD RDRGX120

They are working but i dont believe i have the optimum performance. Currently have digital link between AV and DVD, scart between dvd and LCD (smartlink) and audio leads from LCD to AV.

Im sure the HDMI between the AV and TV would give better results?

Also, with the AV controling the sound, should the sound on the TV be turned off, as it seems might tinny when its on.

ANy help.........Thanks

I would reckon that the leads you have from your amp to your TV may need ditching in favour of better quality.

Definitely turn the sound off on the tv if you are listening to it through the amp as well.
